Genre Research: Pop

Swagger Jagger by Cher Lloyd is a pop song which is targeted at a young audience between 14-21 year olds, mainly females. This is because the songs narrative is mainly about becoming popular and looking good in both real life and social media. It is now a thing for a young generation to become popular and 'good looking' on the internet with such lyrics as 'You can't stop YouTubing me'. Even though the Music Video has hardly any narrative at all and targets youngsters as such a young age, The lyrics and and the music video link perfectly with each other.

Not just that but the actors and dancers actually move to the beat, including close-ups of Cher, showing her facial expressions, linking to the lyrics how she people 'can't stop looking' and her and 'staring at her'. A link with the lyrics and the video. In conclusion, the music video does not have a very good narrative unlike the other videos that I have researched, however the music video that the artist has made supports a lot of points from the Goodwin's Theory.
